I used this phone to upgrade my old 3.5" dual core LG. One of the primary reasons I got this was because of the triple minutes for life, which many other phones of similar hardware specs will offer. It overall performs fine and it does what I want it to but there are some caveats: * Bluetooth audio quality is very poor. * Uses an outdated version of Android (KitKat), and Tracfone isn't very good about upgrade plans. * Micro SD card slot requires you to remove the battery to access it. * The default APN settings are useless. They pretty much require you to use the default text app (which is terrible) in order to use MMS, and 3G speeds are slower than normal. However, I downloaded an app to replace the APN settings and used the ones from my old phone, which fixed these problems. * Though this phone didn't come with too much bloatware/adware (which is great), it only has 2GB of usable storage. That's enough for a handful of apps and a few photos here and there, but I feel a few hundred MB could have been spared from the recovery partition. Regardless, for the price, it's a great phone.Read full review

The screen is very clear, colors etc are great. I am still learning all the features, so I am not savy to what experienced people would like about it. Very happy with the triple minutes of course. The one thing I did not like Is the directions are printed in such a small type, very difficult to read. I put the directions from Alcatel on my PC and made it perfect! I am very pleased with my purchase, and would recommend it wholeheartedly.

I bought this for the large screen size 5.3 in., but found out that the internal storage is only 2gb, and the OS it uses does NOT allow transferring apps to the SD card. This limits greatly, what could be a really fantastic phone. The price was right, but I'm not sure how long I'll stick with this phone due to the lack of internal storage, and the inability to download as many apps as I'd like.

For the price, really can't go wrong. My needs are very simple. Needed to upgrade from a flip because I was tired of punching so many letters to send a text. I also wanted to be able to receive and look at photos and emoticons that people would text to me. That has worked fine. What hasn't been the best is when I send text of any length, it breaks it up into several messages and puts weird symbols in it. Doing some research it appears I would have to download a separate text messaging app. Don't want to do that. So that's my main and really only beef about this phone.
