    a good compromise

    I love how inexpensive the CPU is for what you get. I got mine for $35.00, and it's got 4mb of L2 cache, and runs stock at 3ghz, and is a real dual core processor. With the Rocketfish $30.00 HSF it stays cool, as the Pentium D's tend to run hot enough to cook a personal sized pizza while you work. Still much cheaper than the cheapest true Core 2 Duo processor, and with Windows 7 64bit it moves very quickly. It replaced an aged Athlon xp Barton core 2800 overclocked to 3200 and kicks its trash decisively in all applications.

    do your research to avoid leaving negative feedback.

    I bought this processor to upgrade from a celeron D 351 single core, It has worked fine since I put it in and with it being a dual core processor I can do alot more than I could with the 351 and my computer is a whole lot faster. I would recommend this processor and this seller if you want to upgrade your processor and on a word of advise please do your research before you buy a processor so that you know it is compatable with your motherboard, All you need to find out if it is compatable is enter the motherboards name in your search engine and carefully go through the links and and look at supported processors and scroll down till you find the processor you want if it isn't listed it may not be supported.

    Excellent CPU, easy upgrade to existing system.

    Excellent upgrade to existing system without having to build a whole new computer. This is a excellent Intel processor, and works flawlessly.

    If you have a BTX pc, don't buy it. Only for ATX case with good CPU cooler.

    Although it has a higher GHz than the weaker Pentium 805, it runs MUCH hotter. This is a problem in old BTX format computers where you only have one case fan pushing hair into the heatsink. That is not enough air to cool this heat monster down and can result in lower performance than its younger and weaker brother, the Pentium 805 (2.66 GHz).

    Good value for the price - quality

    This is one of the most affordable dual-core processors on price and performance. He excels not only with office applications, but other more complex tasks. I recommend it to my friends and clients as one of the best options for inexpensive home systems.
