WW2 combat propaganda film remake, well-made and surprisingly well acted.
Disc Menu wouldn't open on this one, for some reason. But the picture and sound are at an excellent standard. This SAHARA is a pretty faithful remake of the 1943 Humphrey Bogart film. Accordingly, in color with a fine soundtrack. The casting is remarkably good-- I was surprised how well Belushi handled the role, as I usually think of him in comedy. Overall, a good war movie, with expected propaganda tone. The WW2 version, after all, was modelled after a 1930s Soviet film, THE THIRTEEN (available complete on YouTube) adapted from Asia to North Africa.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Sahara a great movie
This movie is a remake of the original with Humphrey Bogart. This one is with Jim Belushi and is just as good as the original. I highly recommend this movie is well made and has lots of action, adventure, drama, is about WWII in the Sahara desert were the Alies fought the German Army in Libya. This is very close to the original Humphrey Bogart movie but in color and James Belushi as the lead. Good companion film. Good re-make. One US WW2 tank stops a German army.
