If you liked, as I did, the radio hits, you'll like just about everything on these 2 discs.

Having become a teenager the same year the Beatles broke open the gates for the British Invasion, I was swept up with most everyone else when it came to the new sound....I enjoyed DC5's radio hits, but I was not expecting to appreciate the less-familiar tunes on this release. I'm happy to say that there really isn't a stinker to be found here...it's all very well - done good old rock n' roll.

    DC5 Overrated

Dave Clark did a very good marketing job by limiting distribution of the DC5 recordings for decades, creating a demand. Excellent job on his part and I fell for it. Because it had been so scarce for so long, I wanted it more than I should have. I am a 60's music aficionado and know all of this stuff backward and the DC5 were a group that I liked but also knew that they had a limited select group of songs that were worth having. They have about 6 to 8 songs worth having in your library and beyond that, nothing that noteworthy, in my humble opinion. A two disc set with 50 songs is way too much! Glad I have it but no big deal after all.

  • Long Overdue Great DC5 CD

As a longtime DC5 fan and owner of practically all of their LPs and singles, I was very glad to add this to my collection. Mike Smith had one of the greatest voices of any lead singer and was a great keyboard player and composer as well. The songs are catchy and the vocals are impeccable. Rick Huxley's bass playing as well as Lenny Davidson's lead guitar and Denis Peyton's sax and harmonica playing were great as well as their harmonizing. I'm so glad they were finally inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. This CD takes me back to my high school days and the fun I had listening to the DC 5 as well as attending their concerts! So glad I bought this!!!

  • Love these guys

Neck and Neck with The Beatles for a couple of years then The Beatles just took off. But I never stopped liking DC5. This collection not only shows their hits but unknown album cuts that just shine. Thanks again, Al
