Durable and timeless
Although this car was first sold in the early fifties, my young grandsons love playing with it on my layout. They enjoy using the lionel #456 coal ramp to unload it and the #397 coal loader to reload it.

LIONEL 3456 N & W Hopper
The "LIONEL 3456 N & W Hopper" is without doubt my favorite Lionel Post War rolling stock. I have MANY!!! Too many perhaps, but the #3456 is Soooo durable even though it was produced +/- 1950 to 1955. It is just GREAT and looks Super behind Post War Steam Engines. p.s. Plan to get a few more :):):):) LIONEL POSTWAR 3456 NORFOLK & WESTERN OPERATING HOPPER
