The Ultimate PC Engine/Turbografx unit
Good value? Meh - that's up to you. But it's the ONLY unit that will play ALL PC Engine and Turbografx titles - including ALL CDs prior to the PC-FX. It's the only way to do it. The SuperGrafx itself only has about 5 exclusive titles with a handful more that can take extra advantage of the hardware. But it is also backward-compatible with all other PC Engine/Turbografx titles. So is it a value at $400+ dollars for 5 games? No, but when you consider the library size, you're getting more value than that. You're getting a library that consists of any and all PC Engine, Turbografx, CD, SuperCD and Arcade CD games released for the line. So the cost really is mitigated if you're a Turbografx/PC Engine fan. CAUTION - these machines are OLD. Plus, NEC machines are notorious for having crappy capacitors installed. If you purchase this system, (or any retro console really), you really need to have the capacitors replaced as soon as you get it. If the capacitors start leaking they can eat away the motherboard - which can easily be UNREPAIRABLE. Also, do research on the plastic post inside the case - this can cause direct physical damage to the board and destroy it as well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
