Product Information

This official re-release of 2004's Battlefield Vietnam includes the final version of the game, with the 1.01, 1.02, 1.1, and 1.2 patches applied. Also featured in Redux are new vehicles and weapons, four new Vietnam-era maps, and the game's World War II mod.<br><br>Combining the player-directed team warfare of an MMORPG with the fast-paced competition of a first-person shooter, and the realism of an accurate historical setting with forgiving arcade-style action, Battlefield Vietnam follows the same basic battle plans as its winning 2002 predecessor, Battlefield 1942. The follow-up allows as many as 64 players to join and battle together online, across the land, sea, and skies of a virtual Vietnam. Recruits choose to fight for the United States or the North Vietnamese Army as one of five basic soldier types, each appropriate for a different selection of era-authentic weaponry.<br><br>Drivable vehicles include jet fighters, helicopters, tanks, trucks, and Jeeps, and passengers can now fire weapons while on board. A cross-section of popular music from the era, including singles by Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jefferson Airplane, and the Kingsmen, can be played in-game on the car and truck radios, and will be heard by other players as these vehicles pass them. Users can also import and listen to customized .mp3 soundtracks (though only on their own computers).<br><br>The most immediately obvious difference between Vietnam and 1942 may be the games' environments. Battlefield Vietnam levels feature the country's thick, jungle landscapes, which can have a great effect on line-of-sight, cover, and tactics, as well as on the game's overall look. Many credit community support, including fan-made mods and even game-engine rendered "machinima" movies, with contributing to the success of the original 1942. This Vietnam sequel ships with all the basic map and mission editing tools in place.

    Battlefield Vietnam Redux PC

    One big problem with this game is that it doesn't come with a manuel to explain how to play the game, it only comes with a instal manuel, with key code, which leaves you in the dark.. I have been scatching my way through little by little on how to go about doing things. I guess the manual comes with the first game, or in my searches, it is simular to Battlefield 1942,in which case I have nether. I have gone to the EA site to see if there was a manuel to down load, not to be. But ounce you get the hang of things it's a blast, literaly. This got somewhat of a poor rateing from the game site, because it was a redux. Well I don't have the first one and I don't intend on buying it. Because this is the same game with all the updates, with World War II segments added. The first one got great ...

    Great Time Killer

    I personally love this game and spend anywhere between 15-25 hours a week playing it. Pros: Great Music Runs well on older machines Always a match with open slots Cons: Need DSL or better to play online without lag Not the easiest game to get good at, since most of it's current players are haved played this game from day one.     Battlefield Vietnam or vietnam redux

    This is an old game,but i like it so much. This is just one game in the world that has a music while you are using any of vehicles, you can choose a song of music that you like. 10 different chooses. Oh, Its very nice and funny.
