A good but not perfect replacement

I used the Barden as a replacement for the terrible stock bridge on a Mexican Telecaster. I don't think the low string saddle (E/A or 6/5) is as angled as it appears in the photo. I can't get the intonation quite right for the low E string. Also, I don't see why the bridge plate needs the two tiny screws at the neck end. Who ever heard of a Tele bridge coming loose? But over all it's way better quality bridge than the stock one.

  • Installed on Squier Standard Series Tele

I looked everywhere to find information about installing on my Squier since it's supposed to have the same thickness, routes and such as the American Standard but couldn't find any info. People on the telecaster sites told me it wouldn't work because I have a Squier. It does work, only on the Standard Series though. The only problem I had was having to drill new holes for the rear mounting screws and the supplied front screws were to small in diameter, had to re-use the Squier screws. This bridge is a great improvement. Settings were spot on right out of the package, luck I guess. Plays and sounds much better now. Would recommend if you're not afraid to do a little drilling.

  • Absolutely an improvement

I have the Barden bridge on two Tele’s and it is a distinct improvement over Fenders decades old, tried and true bridge. If I had to describe it I’d say it solidifies the overall tone and removes any perceived nasal quality some have. It increases sustain just a little. I’ve not installed the two extra screws at the top of the bridge as I’m not thrilled about drilling two extra holes into it but it’s not needed in my opinion. It’s solid and highly recommended.

  • More Mass = More Tone

Swapped this out for the Bigsby that was on my blue Partscaster and the difference, along with that of my blonde Tele, was more than noticeable. The heavier plate amplifies the string vibration throughout the body. Notes jump off the fingerboard, tone is full and lush. Putting one on my blonde Tele.

  • Great bridge

I have a mexican standard tele, and this bridge fits perfect. The intonation is perfect and i have no problems at all with it.
