Overall this is a great audio interface. I bought it open-box, so unfortunately, all the protective stickers were off. But the product itself hasn't been used, neither the serial number was registered. Yes, the box was a little damaged and worn out. I like this one, and hope it's gonna serve me a long long time.

Scarlett 8i6 is a win
In my mind, an audio interface should be as transparent in your creative process as possible - it shouldn't be an obstacle. I'd say the Scarlett 8i6 is a win. Physically, the Scarlett 8i6 was extremely easy to set up. The longest part of getting it up and running is downloading the drivers and free software, but that's to be expected. The only negative I've had is not the unit itself, but the version of Pro Tools that came free with it. When I started using a basic version of Pro Tools 10 years ago, it was very intuitive and powerful. This version, however, I would call useless. They removed basic functionality like a "Save As" option. That's ridiculous. The whole File management system is pointlessly bad. Also, many Plug Ins don't work with this low-grade version.
