    The guitar arrived yesterday. I helped my wife set it up with the advice that it will require frequent tuning for a few days. About the guitar: a beautiful finished instrument and unflawed appearance. I played it for about and hour while she was away and am totally impressed for a "beginner" guitar. It looks and sounds like something far better. I purchased it because of the Yamaha name and was not disappointed. Excellent value!

    Wallet-Friendly Guitar With Outstanding Sound

    This guitar sounds so much better than its pay grade. But what matters to me even more is that it allows my short and stubby fingers to play the chords with ease. Overall, it is a budget-friendly guitar that sounds like those more expensive ones. The only drawback is that during the first few days of using/playing the guitar, the strings wouldn't stay in tune. But then again, all new guitars go through this process.

    Good budget guitar

    My Yamaha C40 has very nice tone for a plywood guitar. The strings on my my guitar are still breaking in so they require frequent tuning. The tuning keys are easy to turn and stay put. Good value for a beginner or as an experienced player's second guitar.

    Nostalgia...

    Ordered this guitar because it's very similar to the Yamaha I first learned to play on, many decades ago. Haven't played in almost 30 years. Decided to pick it up again, just for fun. This guitar has the same comfortable feel as my old one, and muscle memory is slowly returning. I've very happy with the instrument.

    After looking at YouTube videos , l decided to buy one of this and I love it ,I have many acoustic guitars with steel string and this one is by far the easiest to play, as easy as my electric guitars ,the action is nice and low ,totally recommend it.

    Affordable with nice sound.

    You can't beat the quality for this low price. It has a mellow pleasant sound that I was looking for to do my practicing. The G key goes off tune but it happens overnight not while I'm playing. Overall I highly recommend it.
