This copy of the Kelmscott Chaucer appears to be the most faithful ever produced. The binding, unlike other reproductions such as Easton Press, copies the rare pigskin "Dove" binding and includes replica latches. Like the original Kelmscott, this binding has untrimmed pages and is not embossed in gold. I read the comparisons to other editions given in 2015 when this volume was released. The critics were uncertain as to quality. They may be correct. However, this volume truly is fantastic.

OMG! This facsimile of the Morris/Burne Kelmscott Chaucer is without question the most beautiful book ever printed. Only surpassed by a few early one-of-a-kind illuminated manuscript bibles, and maybe the Gutenberg bible. If you have the cash, buy a copy of this book. You will not regret it!! It is a spot-on copy of the original in every detail. Would be a bargain at $500. S & H is high because the book is gigantic, and the seller shipped it USPS priority mail. It arrived in two days. A++
