Good while it lasts
Replacement went by without a hitch and it looked great; I couldn't tell the difference from the original. I even put a tempered glass screen protector for peace of mind. Sadly even with a case and a tempered glass screen protector I managed to break it with a minor fall a week in. In my experience replacement screens tend to not have gorilla glass like the originals and break a bit easier. If you're more careful than me though you should be pretty happy.Replacement went by without a hitch and it looked great; I couldn't tell the difference from the original. For $150 a pop its a little depressing. I spend 4 months in the woods hiking the continental divide trail with the OEM screen for comparison. The install is easy, lots of instructions on the Internet. Save your money and get a new phone.This is the 2nd time I've replaced on the these screens. Packaging was very good. It came in a small box with plenty of bubble wrap and a protective film over the screen. I will update this review after I get it installed. May even make a how to video! Only reason why I didn't give a 5 star rating is because I paid almost as much for the digitizer as I would for a mint condition refurbished nexus 6 on swappa. Overall I am happy though and that's all that matters. Thank you. I wanna say installation was a breeze took a total of about 15 mins to disassemble and put back together. The digitizer had the same serial number as my broken one so that{ tells me that its the original not a knock off. I am very pleased with the outcome. Never worked
After initial installation the digitizer did not illuminate although there were indications of the phone starting. After checking and reconnecting the cables several times, I reinstalled my broken digitizer (glass cracked) which started normally. I tried to install the new digitizer with no success. On my next attempt to reinstall the new digitizer the flat connecting cable broke. I cannot determine if the cable was damaged prior to installation or damaged as a result of numerous attempts to connect it. Installed great, works great
Looks just like the screen we replaced. Everything fit flush and I'm glad it came with whatever that metal panel is on the back, so we didn't have to remove the one from our broken screen. My kid has gotten hours of use out of this thing and so far so good. Screen is clear and bright. Price was on par with other items and I feel like I got what I paid for. Thanks.
