It works, but old Mac or WinXP only
(April 2017 tried on Macbook with OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 -- Did not work) Caution, this is an older version of Anime Studio! If you are buying it for your Macbook or iMac and you've been doing the regular OS X updates from Apple, don't buy Anime Studio version 8. It won't run and SmithMicro won't do anything to help you. They want you to buy the latest and greatest version, and they don't support any release prior. The 30-day trial runs just fine. But it won't let you enter the serial number in the box. Evidently, their product checks the OS release date, and if that date is too far to the right of the AS8 Pro release date, it locks the serial number entry box and you can't use it in full-blown mode. That's the bad news. Here's the good news: If you have an older Macbook that you haven't ... Great product for the price and utility
I purhased the item for the son who was interested in making movies. I like the product because it arrived on time and was quite easy to install onto my son's computer. Soon there after, my 10 year old son found the program a little bit too complicated for his use but I recommended he go to youtube and get better pointers and training on to use the software effectivly to his usage. Prior to purchasing the product, my son and I did a lot of research on other software brands and found Anime Studio suite the best in terms or price and ease to use.I purhased the item for the son who was interested in making movies.
