Memento Mori is a classically styled point-and-click adventure game in which players try to determine the culprit behind a theft at Russia's famed Hermitage Museum. Gamers take control of Maxim Durand, a young professor of art whose history as a forger of paintings has left him beholden to Colonel Ostankovich -- the man in charge of museum security. Joined by Larisa Svetlova, the Russian representative at Interpol's French headquarters, Max sets out on a fact-finding journey that takes him from Russia, to France, to Scotland, and finally on to a Finnish cloister. But the more they learn, the stranger things get, and bizarre deaths, mysterious signs, and the increasingly odd behavior of his brother leave Max questioning his own sanity.
