  • Cemetery Dance

Another Pendegast mystery, along with D'agosta they solve a masterful crime. This time Zoombies, cults, and murder. Bill Smithback longtime character of the twosome author's books and NY times reporter is murdered. Only the guy who did it died a week before. Witness's all agree that they saw the man. Gets better his wife Nora Kelly is attacked and is preyed upon through out the book. Pendegast the wealthy FBI agent is up to his usual tricks of working outside the box, while NYC detective D'agosta in his anger is forced to remain within the law. The cult which has operated for century's has been called conspirators and animal killers, keeps suspicion abound as activist groups march on them. Look forward to reading this as many of the author's older characters appear on the suspense filled ...

  • Home Run for Preston and Child

The dynamic writing duo of Preston and Child has hit another home run with this story of a vicious cult, appropriately strange characters, and of course the excellent FBI Agent Pendergast and NY Detective D'Agosta. It's nice to see Agent Pendergast back to his stylish and intellectual self. (In the third and final book of the Diogenes trilogy, Agent Pendergast played a minor role; and the book wasn't nearly up to par in my opinion, as a result.) Nora, too, is back in the lineup as are many of the old crew, such as the rather bizarre but always fascinating Wren. It's nice to revisit old friends and weird settings. I won't spoil the story line for you, but this one will keep you up st night turning the pages. Great fun!

  • Cemetery Dance by Preston/Child (2009)

I am a HUGE fan of the Pendergast novels by Preston/Child, but was disappointed by this part of the series. Killing off one of the good guys, who has been in many of the previous novels, was not a great idea in my opinion. Outside of that, I felt it did not flow as well. It also was not as in-depth for one of their novels. I did not feel as involved with the characters this time. I was at least somewhat entertained and it was not so terrible that I put it down. I would still buy the next one.

  • Great mix mystery & history.

These talented writers lift all readers to higher levels but still are in touch with reality. They craft timeless quality reads but give fabulous entertainment seldom in contemporary writings.
