The lens is new, as described, and I am happy with it and the promptness with which the seller dispatched it.However, the in-transit time (24 days) for the order to be delivered was overlong for its $47.60 cost. In comparison, another lens I purchased at the same time from a seller in Japan cost $47.00 to ship to New Zealand and was delivered only six days after it was sent. Another negative - packaging: two of the 3 plastic airbags packing the item had deflated (one completely).
