Dan Brown is awesome!
I've never been much of a reader, but, lately I have been trying to be a good example to my young children. I picked up the Da Vinci Code and read it cover to cover never wanting to put it down. The next thing I did was to purchase all of Dan Brown's other books. Deception point, as well as the other books Mr Brown wrote, is a page turner. I had a hard time putting it down, and couldn't wait to pick it up again. It is a novel (as are all of his books). I read some reviews others had written which were critical about the "reality" of the plots, and I had to scratch my head. It is entertaining and exciting, but it is NOT "reality". I thoroughly enjoyed this book and HIGHLY recommend it to all who want to be swept away to far away places and get immersed in an exciting page turning ... I am a big space fan and I was really excited that this book revolved around NASA finding a meteor that had fallen in the high arctic. Intelligence Analyst Rachel Sexton is in her mid-thirties, is single, and works for the NRO (National Reconnaissance Office). Her father, Senator Sedgewick Sexton, is a popular presidential candidate surpassing the incumbent President of the United States Zachary Herney. The President sends her to the Arctic as part of a team of experts to confirm and authenticate findings made by NASA deep within the Milne Ice Shelf. NASA's new Earth Observation System (EOS,) a collection of satellites ... Deception Point is a book that was written by Dan Brown. This book was released in softcover in 2001 by Pocket Books. NASA discovers a very dense meteorite. In it are fossils of bugs very similar to--but not the same as--species on earth. NASA claims this as proof of extraterrestrial life. This find is something NASA needs desperately, as the agency’s success rate on other fronts has put it in a bad light. Senator Sexton uses this as an example of government overspending and failure to further his campaign. This is a great book. Gripping and exciting. I was on the edge of my seat until the very end. I decided to buy this book because I already had the other 3 books by Dan Brown. Once again the author did not disappoint me with this creation. I would advise to anyone who is a Dan Brown fan to read this book.

Unbelievable second book
I was tickled by Dan Brown's first novel, Digital Fortress, which we bought as a fluke in softcover. Deception Point is an amazing follow up. You can vividly imagine yourself being at the center of it all. Amazing descriptive detail makes the reader turn the page to see what is next. Can't wait for the next one!
