    Great upgrade - Gen7 Sport

    This was a super simple upgrade. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to do it being new to the RC hobby, but my 9 year old son and I were able to change out the gears on both of our trucks in about an hour. There was nothing wrong with the plastic gears but we run our rock crawlers hard and did this upgrade for “preventative maintenance”. There’s no directions but basically you just take the old gears out, put these in their place. I did add a little grease to these gears just because it seemed like the right thing to do. I used grease that came with my garage door opener gears and so far so good.

    Good metal gears to replace plastic ones

    These gears work well to replace the plastic ones in a Redcat Gen7 transmission However I did have to shorten the pin that secures the driven gear to the output shaft, I had to grind off about 0.5mm as the pin would not fit into the slot on the gear The gears do run smoothly and I do reccomend them despite the fitment issue Best wishes to all and Happy Trails

    Fixes the plastic trans gear shortfall. These should hold up to any suitable power system, including mild brushless.
