It can be used standing up or laying flat. It has a clasp to keep it closed. My new case did it all without being bulky. I struck gold. I love the new case. And it was a fraction of the cost to boot.

My wife wanted a different color this time so we went with black. It appears to be of the same good quality and we expect to get many years of service from this one as well.
