Great, but glitchy
The product itself works great, but there is a small glitch I assume in it's programming. Whenever you press buttons too quickly it registers this as me trying to download an app that is no longer compatible with Roku and takes me to the download screen. It will kick me off from whatever app I am using and open the download screen. I tried downloading the app to see if this would cause a fix, but this just causes the app to open every time buttons are pressed quickly.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Chew Toy for you Young .Dog
Dogs love the crinkly sound this TCL Roku TV remote makes as they chew it. They don't last too long but my dogs love the sound of chewing them. Fortunately they're easily replaceable here on eBay. I buy around a half dozen at a time so I have a fresh one for the dog to chew. I suggest you do so as well. If nothing else, you'll soon have a half dozen or so lying in around in various places like under the couch or chair, under magazines on the coffee table, by the toilet on the other side of the house and outside in the yard for when you need one but don't don't know where the last one was set down. worked out of the box, buttons a little "sticky"
i keep misplacing the Roku remotes, so this time I ordered 3 just in case. These were fine, worked right out of the box, no syncing needed. my only issue with these remotes is that they are IR vs. RF, so you must point directly at the television, not such a big deal, but when you get used to not having to point, it's a bit of a 1st world problem having to point at your TV... :-) Beyond that, the direction arrows and other buttons on the remotes do seem a bit "clicky", and feel a bit sticky for some reason. not sure if it's the design, or something else. other than that, they are fine, a perfect replacement and less expensive than buying 1 at a box store.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

A good back-up
Cheap enough to get as a back-up if you lose or break your original remote. The TV itself has no control buttons itself and unless you have a smart phone to download an app, you are screwed. But it works just fine. I MEAN EVEN BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL. Has more instant access channel buttons which I find convenient. Easy to program. Instructions are clear and precise.
