    Arnold Lobel is the best.

If you love Frog and Toad (who doesn't), you will love this. We actually found it at a garage sale years ago for a quarter! But it was an old copy and the pages were falling apart in a way that no tape could repair. Finally replaced it, and so glad I did. My kids and I are huge fans of everything Arnold Lobel; This is just one of the greats.

  • Owl at home, as sweet as the moon is bright.

As a child Arnold Lobel was indeed my favorite author. I was a huge fan of "Mouse soup", and the folleys of "Fog and Toad". The adoring characters, charming dwellings, and basic highlights of lessons learned by the endearing and naive creatures of Lobel's stories were all reveries of my youth. "Owl at home" was the one book i never read. So here i am in my mid twenties, and a collector of owl items, and memorbillia, i came across the book while doing a random search of "owls" on E-bay one day. I waisted no time placing my bid, and absolutely loved this book. I probably loved it more than "Frog and toad". It is so heart warming, and silly. "Owl" the star of the short stories, is incredibly adorable, and lovable. i would highly suggest this as a read for a child, or any adult who ...

  • great book

This book is a classic. Great stories for kids just learning how to read. My two years old loves it. Not scary or mean in any way.
