    Much better value than I expected...solid and accurate. Easy to use.

    Initial impressions are very good. Solidly made. I was impressed by how superior the construction is to some of the other tools I own. This seems exceptionally rugged. It is easy to operate. You unlock the pendulum and turn on one or more of the beams. It has a horizontal line, a vertical line, and a plumb dot above and below. The beams are very bright, and accurate according to my bubble level. I can see them in daylight. The auto-leveling function is excellent. Don't forget to lock the pendulum when not in use. I will revise this at a later time should things change, but at the outset this is much more tool than I expected, and it's going to be fun to use to level my house. I expect to have it for a long time, and I'll use it in the rest of my home renovation. Just what I needed.

    DeWalt quality with poor function.

    This laser only turns off with the pendulum lock switch, only doing a cross-hair laser essentially eating the batteries more than if you can toggle through horizontal/vertical/both. Look at the picture there is a near identical model that supports that function.

    Great product, excellect value for the price.

    Super rugged, I am a contractor and my staff can be hard on tool but this thing is solid. Additionally, I have come to have a lot of respect for Dewalt's customer service, they really go the extra mile to make sure that if there is a problem it gets resolved quickly with as little impact to the customer as possible. My only complaint is that it doesn't work with Dewalt's laser detector so if you are outside in the sun you can't see the beam at a distance, it still works great close up but you won't be shooting foundations with it. If you are inside or in the shade you will have no issues seeing it. Also a tripod is a must, it is pretty hard to get the beam where you want it by tacking it up and though it has great magnets on it I am never in a spot that has metal where it would be ...
