    Part is good but required modifications to work

    The Damper Control (WP67003903) is a newer version of the part that controls the temperature in the upper fridge. My original part had the same rectangular dimensions on the face that snaps in but the motor that controls the damper was on top not the side of the housing like my original part. You can cut out the styrofoam insulator to allow for the differences in the new part and it will fit. Additionally, there is no new wiring harness to fit the new part. You have to swap over your old wiring harness to work with this new unit. On my older version, it had no clips on the motor and the wires went inside the motor. The new part has clips on the motor so you need to solder new tabs that will slide on the motor clips. I used automotive radio speaker wire clips (the small side) fit ...
