    SB5101U Modem

    Not the fastest modem but it works excellent in normal email/browsing use. If you are a gamer you would probably want something faster. It paid for itself in just 2 months in that I do not have to lease equipment from Time Warner.

    Crummy product. Get a better modem, don't settle for this.

    Although you can get by with this Modem it is only rated for about 25-30Mbps. If you are paying for a higher internet speed than this, then you are really just limiting yourself.

    Cheap and works like a charm

    Bought this used. All I had to do was call Time Warner Cable and give them the numbers on it and plug it in. Two minute set up! I run several devices through it (including two smart TVs) and it performs well plus I no longer have to pay monthly rent on the Time Warner modem.

    surfboard rview

    i have two 5101 surfboards. one live, and one back-up if needed. also have an extra power supply. i use the surfboard with time/warner's stand-alone economy internet package. it works fine, and that's why i bought a backup unit on ebay just in case anything happens to the primary.
