  • Mushroomhead Changes Their Sound....Again...

Fans of Mushroomhead should be the first to admit that the band changed their sound from the first CD to the second. Their debut album was very raw, full of misdirection and very eclectic. Their sophomore release was the complete opposite - it seemed very calculated, overly produced, one directional, etc. With their new release, the change in sound takes place yet again. This time around the band is bringing you a heavier sounding album than ever before, but they're also sounding like, well, other bands. The vocals have changed - whether that be in part to aging voices or to an intentional effort - there isn't the fast paced rap moments, there isn't that nearly flat sort of droning, there isn't the vocals that most fans would recognize from their track "Sun Doesn't Rise". Instead, the ...

  • No Simple Survival For Me

This album's sound has changed and that is a good thing because I don't want to hear the same stuff from XIII or XX. If I wanted that i'd listen to those albums. This album is Awesome in every way possible. Waylon does an awesome job on the vox as the replacement for J MANN. I think he adds a different feel to the musik than J but hey the Mann will always be the Mann. (216) (UPDATE) New MRH Album coming 9/28/10: Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children. PREORDER TO AVOID DISSAPOINTMENT. O_o

  • the music is great i have been a fan for years thanx

the music is great and i have been a huge fan of mushroomhead for years the theatrical metal sound is the best u cant beat the lyrics and the rythem

  • Mushroomhead's first effort with Waylon

I love the added melody to the songs. Waylon can sing very well. J Mann was amazing don't get me wrong but Waylon can actually sing better. They sound the same when they scream. Very good songs. This album gets a lot of flack but it is my favorite from them. Highly recommended!
