      The best there is

      Best rim tape for hollow rims (those with large spoke holes on the inside). High pressure tires can blow out inside the rim if you use a plain rubber tape, electrical tape or no tape at all. This product is very sturdy and can take the pressure and will last for 20 years. It comes in different widths so you do need to get the width to match your particular model of rim. Too wide and it interferes with installing and removing the tires (a royal pain). Too narrow and the tube can slip by into the hollow part of the rim. There is a bit of sticky stuff on the back to hold it in place but not so sticky you can't remove it. A good upgrade for most new bikes that come with a cheap plastic tape that doesn't hold up for long.
