Now that I've had this rifle for a while I can tell you it is GREAT !!! It is super easy to use. The 10X feature is a game changer. Gone are the days of loading a pellet one at a time. You might as well shoot a musket ! I actually ordered a spare magazine so I can switch them out in the field. After I realized how easy and fun that is, I ordered two more, so I have 4 magazines. One goes into the gun, and three are loaded ready to go. You'd be surprised how quickly you can go through 10 shots. Now that I have the spares, it's a lot faster, hence more fun !! I own two other handgun BB / Pellet guns, too, and two full auto rifles, but the Gamo Storm Whisper 10X is my favorite. It is the only "real" gun I have. The rest are just toys, or gimmicks, but super fun. The rifle is easiest to hit ... Now that I've had this rifle for a while I can tell you it is GREAT !!! It is super easy to use. The rest are just toys, or gimmicks, but super fun. The rifle is easiest to hit targets with due to the nature of it. I had no idea what to expect from the scope. Like you, I research the heck out of things and watch a million YouTube videos. There are some VERY expensive scopes out there from anywhere from $25 to $800 and more. The Gamo stock scope is surprisingly accurate and easy to zero. I had to watch a video to see how to do it, and it was not much more than a few minutes of turning the X and Y axis points until I could hit a target in the crosshairs. This gun is powerful. I own the .22 version and from about 20 yards I was able to (accidentally) shoot a hole through the fence ! It's 1" thick and years old, so it's probably brittle, but still. When I go plinking with this rifle, I am able to get the targets to spin once. That takes a lot of force ! If you are getting this rifle to dispatch (kind way of saying kill) unwanted rodents, it definitely will do it mercifully and fast. Luckily, I happen to play bass guitar and this rifle fits PERFECTLY into my Ibanez padded gig bag, which I love because the neighbors just think I'm going to another gig. For the fun of it, I may try one day to put a laser sight on it like I have on my pistols. It's really fun and looks cool. It makes you think you have a gun from The Terminator. So, in closing, I really enjoy this rifle. The Gamo Storm Whisper 10X. The single pump and 1,300 FPS was a real selling point to me. All my handguns use Co2 and that is great at first, but it wears out real fast. This rifle does NOT need any fule at all. Just one break of the barrel. Unlimited energy. That was the selling point to me and the 10X.

This is a cheapo version of this rifle (like a car with different trim options). This is my second Gamo Swarm .22. My first (cost the same), is virtually the same but has an adjustable trigger. This one does not. They are both great rifles, but this one is just a cheaper model. Check the exact model number, and don't buy this one (611006875554). Having said that, these are great rifles --- one inch groups at 25 yards, the 10 shot magazine and the gas piston (better than spring powered) are great. The scope they ship with the rifle leaves much to be desired --- something I replaced first thing with inexpensive Bushnells.This is a cheapo version of this rifle (like a car with different trim options). It's a great pellet gun very accurate
Tested out the Gamo Swarm Whisper air rifle .22w/4x32 first shot without sighting it in yet to see how it performed. I hit the bullseye dead center from 30 yards out not bad.

It is exactly what I hoped it would be
Right out of the box, put on scope and was going to sight it in on some targets. A squirrel popped out around 25 yards and without skipping a beat I dropped him. Love the 10 round clip , but it is a little flimsy. All in all it does exactly what I hoped.
