    Track list errors

    Very nice collection but the track list isn't accurate on my copy. It says that "The Man I Love" is by "Dinah Washington and Andre Previn" but it's actually by "Dinah Shore and Andre Previn", taken from the album "Dinah Sings, Previn Plays". It also has the two different songs both called "Misty Blue" by "Ella Fitzgerald" and "Dorothy Moore" crossed over. Ella's song is on CD2 and Dorothy's on CD1 but the track list states they are the other way round. Don't let that put you off though, other than that this CD contains mostly great music.

    Lady sings the blues

    I first heard this CD played at my son's house and' Wanted It ' Only us ladies can do justice to blues songs and that's precisely what Artists like Sarah Vaughan- Dinah Washington-Aretha Franklyn-Ella Fitzgerald-Peggy Lee and many more too numerous to mention have done on this wonderful double albumn. Just imagine 46 of the best female blues singers. What value for money!

    Proper Soul Music - Music for a Tired Soul

    If you want a CD to relax to - to drink a cup of something smooth with, or snuggle up in a fluffy pair of pj's or even with yout favourite fella - this is the one for you. The silky tones of the top blues and soul artists in the universe will change your outlook for the day - make you feel like a whole person again, after the world has unravelled you... MAGIC!

    Some good songs on this...

    Purchased this for a friend but had a sneaky listen before passing it on and ended up liking it that much that I bought my own copy. As far as compilation albums go this is one of the better ones. There do seem to be a few strange selections although overall it's worth the money...especially if you can get it cheap like I did ;-)
