    kodak dont even make them no more cos they such rubbish

    common fault that ink dries in print head and tottaly blocks it up I had two printers and they both the same got hp envy 5530 now cheaper and far supirior

    So far, so good and cheap ink costs too.

    For one I am an absolute technophobe and for another this is my third printer. Previous were Lexmark (which was rubbish)and Epson. The Epson DX8400 was a similarly priced all in one model but the downside was that because I rarely used it the printheads got blocked. I bought replacement inks twice at overinflated prices and because it was just out of guarantee Epson customer services suggested I buy a replacement as it would cost as much again to repair. What a waste of money! Total costs per copy were around £10 for the use I had out of it! Never buy Epson! This Kodak printer was easy to install (I did it myself) and so far, is offering excellent quality prints. It's a good home printer for occasional use and other technophobes who don't need all singing, all-dancing models (although ...

    Overall a great 2nd user printer, a bargain for under £50.

    I bought this printer due to the relatively low cost of ink replacement and because my old Canon was on the blink. Had the printer 6 weeks now and finding it very easy to use, the print quality is really very good, the wireles and cloud printing is a real bonus it is reasonably fast if a little noisy. I only have my old canon I455 to compare it with which was 7 years old, but it is head and shoulders above that in terms of print quality.

    Kodak are lying about cheap ink costs

    DO not believe the claims about this printer being the cheapest for ink costs, the colour cartridge supplied printed 10 sheets of A4 photos then gave up. When the printer decides that one of the colours is empty you have to throw away the entire cartridge. It won't let you continue until you think its empty and I'm very suspicious about how much ink is left when it decides this. There is no way at present to refill the cartridges and reset the chip. I should have purchased a Cannon with separate colour tanks or a HP all in one for £25 from Asda. The only good news is that there are third party combo ink packs on Ebay for £10 and these are really good.

    the hero 5.1 is a remarkable machine, very economical, lots of fantastic features, quite simply the best printer i have ever used.
