The Renaissance Wax Polish was designed to protect fine art by the British Museum. Used as both a restorative and a protective polish, this wax can be used on almost all surfaces, including metal, canvas, and wood. Because it is acid-free and dries clear, it should be safe for any valued art piece. The polish creates a barrier to protect against outside elements and prevent corrosion. As only a small amount is needed, this 2.25 fluid ounce bottle should last for some time.

      Awesome Product

      This is the only wax product I recommend for firearms. It works great on the wood and the metal parts. Leaves a nice luster, that resists fingerprints. It is not prone to smudges like oil is. It will not darken a wood stock, and it won't turn a satin finish in to a high gloss finish. It will restore the finish's luster, and it will enhance the look of the wood grain.

      How did we get by without this?

      This product comes with an impressive pedigree of use by museums for preservation Work. For my end, its easy to use and works as advertised. Badges, challenge coins, knives, gun parts, prevents corrosion, tarnish, protects from corrosive fingerprints, adds water proofing to porous materials.

      easy to apply and buff, excellent on antique oriental bronze. excellent to protect polished brass from handling and tarnish, have not yet used wax on antique leather books.

      Excellent non-permanent sealant/tarnish preventative for raw metals

      This is an excellent protective coating for raw (unfinished) brass and copper that prevents tarnish from forming, at least for awhile.
