It was new but don’t think it was in Hanes packaging, but I could be wrong, don’t remember now. For the money, it was a good buy, but gonna continue to purchase 1 at a time hoping that I find the heavier one that I am looking for. This was supposed to be 6.5 oz., and it does feel like 100% cotton, which is what I want.
