High quality at an excellent price
This carburetor is a high quality replacement for the original equipment OE unit it replaced. While the original unit is 40 years old, and manufacturing technology has gotten far better, I was suprised at just how good the casting and machining was. Only issue I encountered was that the mounting screw holes were 6mm x1.00 pitch thread and the OE unit is US 1/4" NC thread. No problem, you can use metric hardware or do as I did, I re-tapped the holes to the OE size. Once installed, the engine started up and after the normal adjustments, I would say this engine ran as good or better than it did with the original carb even when it was new. I would NOT hesitate to buy another. Especially seeing as this unit can be bought for about half the price of just a OE carburetor rebuild kit alone..... ... You may experience a situation where the choke control shaft may need to be changed but never fear, the shaft is the same size as the OE unit and you can swap it directly over, but don't co-mingle the screws....

Decent Carburetor
Good product. You will need metric bolts to mount it to an American engine, however, the bolt that is in the bottom of the carburetor is the size bolt that you will need to get, but it needs to be a little bit longer. Also, the main jet needs to be turned about 1 1/2 turns so the engine gets gas. Worked awesome after that.

Works great put on troybilt chipper cranks on first pull, runs like new. I did have to to find new mounting bolts, the old carb was tapped standard 1/4 -20, the new one was metric 6mm.
