    Compact and light weight.

    This is an easy to use lock - I chamfered the edges of the hole in the T-Bar so that it can slide more easily along the protective material.

    Works as advertised and value for money

    After looking at alternative, more expensive helmet locks that attach to the bike frame, I decided to go with the Helmetlok and T-bar because it's cheap (about half the cost), simple (requires no installation), and works well with ratchet-style chin straps (unlike many frame-mounted locks). It's light but sturdy and can attach almost anywhere (not limited to a single point like a frame-mounted lock). The high-contrast white on black numbers are easy to read on the dial, even for someone who usually needs reading glasses (like me), although they could be a bit larger. Finally, if I change bikes I can keep the lock and retain my investment. It isn't fixed to, and specific to, the bike. I highly recommend the product.
