I wanted a good sounding unobtrusive wireless speaker - the Heos5 fits the bill. It wasn't hard getting it to sync with my Iphone. Getting the Denon Heos app to stream desired stations took a little jiggering, however. Pandora (previously set up by me) is most of what I play, plus a few classical music stations. But if you are going to do a lot of genre seeking you might find the app tedious and not user friendly. Also, the unit has the annoying habit of continuing to play after I shut the app down. Most disconcerting. The app's volume control, seen on the screen of my Iphone 5S is tiny, and difficult to control. But I use it and I'm not sorry I paid the $250 (in new condition) for it.

I've tried Sonos and Sony and Apple AirPlay. This is hands down the best speaker in its price range. The software is free and works well on any phone or tablet. It's easy to use and there's even an equalizer built into each speaker indevidually. Nothing else to buy. Had mine working 5 minutes out of the box. Sounds better than my old stereo with tower speakers. I can't believe how good it sounds. I now have one in every room. No installation charges because I easily set it up myself! Forget Sonos. Heos is it!

I bought a Heos wireless speaker with my new receiver, and was so impressed, that I looked for a a used one, and this was it. I had to upload the firmware, which required a phone called to Denon, but once I got that done, this speaker was amazing. Great value doing it this way.
