Construction is very straight forward. They say no glue is needed but they do suggest that you coat the servo mounting holes with CA to harden the wood. Simple hand tools are needed and this one(GPMR8035) from Great Planes will also be helpful. The only negative I could find was the throttle push-rod alignment. The engine mounting system involves these hard plastic sleeves that slide over your engine mounting lugs. These sleeves are then clamped to the engine mount by capturing the front back and side of the lug with another piece of hard plastic/rubber, that bolts through the engine mount. This system is unique, easy and accommodates a wide number of engine choices. However, this arrangement changes the size of the engine mount lug area, where your throttle push-rod would normally have to sneak through. Stock alignment had the push-rod clevis hitting the engine mount. I had to bend the throttle arm on the carburetor out to gain clearance. This put the clevis pin at an awkward alignment during certain throttle positions. I have since replaced the clevis with a ball and socket connection. The airplane flies great with no bad tendencies. Because of its greater weight, you can expect takeoff and landing roll out to be a little longer than the old Avistar. It will loop, roll, spin and fly inverted. It will hold knife edge for almost a full pass of the field at full throttle. I powered mine with a Jett .60 and Vess 11x6 prop which turned out to be a nice combination. Pluses: - The wing bolts on instead of rubber bands - Construction is simple and straight forward and the manual is helpful. - Easy fuel tank access with a magnetic hatch - The tail screws on(this needed tightened after 5 flights or so) - Colorful, easy to see - included flap option is simple to use or not use Minuses: - Throttle push-rod alignment creates a challenge (I'd give it 5 stars otherwise) - tail and landing gear mounting leaves some gaping holes you'll want to fill (to keep fuel residue out)if you choose nitro powerRead full review

You can’t beat this plane for the cost and it’s so easy and fun to build! I have been flying for 20 years and nitro is always fun to have but also a great plane for beginners. I put the OS .55ax in it and the power is fun and exciting at the same time! It’s worth the extra money to step it up
