About this product

Product Information

Based on an interactive game, PHANTOM: THE ANIMATION is a violent, action-packed anime about ruthless assassins and powerful criminal organizations. Zwei is a normal man who gets caught up in an extraordinary underworld after witnessing a mafia assassination. He manages to escape the killer, a rifle-wielding female sniper, only to be captured by the mysterious organization she works for. Given a choice between execution and training as the group's newest super assassin, he readily chooses the latter. But with his training comes a price: Zwei's memories are totally erased. Now, teamed with the sniper, Ein, he completes his assignments with professional efficiency, but still can't shake the feeling that he's forgotten about something important. PHANTOM: THE ANIMATION collects all three OVA anime episodes.

  • Nice Alternate Version.

-Video: Most of the animation is fairly smooth except for a few noticeable parts that either flowed too fast, or too slow. The art style, color choices, and character design all fit the show nicely. The camera movement during combat scenes was exercised regularly and done very well making things more enjoyable and dynamic. -Sound: The English dub starts off noticeably weak in the 1st episode however takes a solid turn in the 2nd episode and maintains itself decently through the 3rd episode. The voices for the Japanese dub generally feel more engaging with the characters and situations, this remains pretty consistent throughout. Sound effects and music were actually really good and fitting for this animation, I don't really have any complaints there. -Story: If you're familiar with ...
