    Crisp & Whiter Light for Headlights

    I recently installed Sylvania SilverStar H11 headlight bulbs, and they do seem to provide a crisp, whiter light than OEM/stock bulbs. I wanted a whiter (higher color temperature) bulb and the SilverStar provides it. The color temperature is consistent with the rating of around 4000K for the SilverStar bulbs versus 3200K for stock bulbs. A well-known issue with "performance" headlight bulbs is that they are rater for a shorter lifespan (perhaps one year depending on usage) compared to stock bulbs. I can't comment on the lifespan of the SilverStar bulbs yet, but it's worth considering as one of the trade-offs for whiter light.

    Bright but very short lifetime

    I use these bulbs in a 2013 Hyunday Elantra. I drive on average 110 miles per day, leaving DRL on all the time. Switched to Sylvania Silverstar after the OEM bulbs burned out. Pro: The light is noticeably brighter, better illumination in distance. Con: They don't last very long. Data: The original bulbs lasted 88600 and 94000 miles before they burned out. These (Sylvania Silverstar) needed replacement after 16500 and 11000 miles, much faster than I anticipated. If you can get them cheap and don't mind getting under the hood for replacements, they are a good choice. Otherwise, keep looking.

    Replace in Pairs

    I use to use Phillips Crystalvision, Sylvania's counterpart. So far (I've only had a week) the H11 Sylvania's are performing well and light up the road quite well. I always replace in pairs and keep the working bulb from the old set as a "backup" since having 2 working headlights vs one is always better.

    Nice upgrade from stock bulbs

    Brighter white than stock bulbs. The headlights do not look obnoxious for the type of vehicle (2010 Nissan Rogue). Would buy again.

    Holy Brightness!!!!

    What a difference!! The SilverStars are ridiculously bright!! I put these in my truck and could immediately tell how much more visibility they provided. And I even have slightly hazy lens. I definitely recommend these to anyone!!
