    An excellent guitar for the money!

    This Martin has exceptional tone and projection which are characteristic of its heritage. It was in dire need of a nut & bridge saddle adjustment (lowering) & a tweak of the tension rod. It now has nice close action and is a dream to play. I also gave the white body binding a "manicure" with a diamond impregnated nail file to round off its sharp right angled edge. It is now comfortable to hold and handle. This is a whale of a bargain and clearly stands above its competitors for tone, projection & playability!

    Somewhat disappointing

    I have a Martin d28 that is a little hard fingering and i thought this guitar would be a little easier but it's not. Plugged in, it sounds great and I like the built-in tuner. Unplugged it sounds like nothing, and it's just as hard to play as my d28. I wish I had bought a new Takamine instead.

    Beautiful guitar with great sound!

    I've played guitar for nearly 50 years and have owned several top name brand models (Gibson, Taylor, Takemine, etc), but I have to say this Martin shaded-top GPCPA4 is my new favorite. It looks stunning, but most importantly, it sounds fantastic plugged in or unplugged. The playability is also top-notch. It's just one of those guitars that is hard to put down, and gets second looks by other players everywhere I take it.

    Awesome Quality

    What a great guitar from the first moment you pick it up. Such superb craftsmanship, and American made, and that is just fit and finish. The sound is clear the action great, right out of the box. This guitar will only improve with age. Oh, and the case is top notch also, like a piece of fine luggage.

    Martin USA nothing better

    Great sounding guitar with a comfortable feel. I needed a couple of 1/4 turns on the truss rod to get the action just right. The fishman pick up is awesome MADE IN THE USA
