Install easy and user friendly. Only time will tell the durability.

It fits well and install easily. Double ball detentes make removing and reinstalling the bag very easily. It can be adjusted by a set screw for the forward-backward position. I have not taken it to the range yet, but I am sure it will work very well. However, components do feel a bit flimsy and the metal cover seems to be a bit thin. Only time will tell how it will hold out. I am taking one star off for this reason. So far, I am happy with it.

    It works as advertised, sorta........

Works great on an ar-15 upper, but I bought it for a Ruger 9mm carbine. It’s smaller than the Caldwell brass catcher and that’s what I wanted for the 9mm cases, but for some reason I can’t get it to fit on the 9mm rifle. It works fine, easy on and off on an ar-15. I do wish you could buy extra rail mounts so you could move it from rifle to rifle easier. I’m a little disappointed, but it does do what it is advertised to do...........on an ar-15.

  • TacStar BRASS CATCHER

I purchased this for a Ruger PC-9. It doesn't fit out of the box. [It is made for AR type rifles] After filing the mount bracket to fit the PC rail, it works fine. Also modified the container to move it closer to the ejection port. [This keeps cases in the container regardless of rifle position] For me personally I would give this product 5 stars but gave it 3 because of the fitment required. Again this was not designed for a PC-9.

  • Good for 5.56 and 308

It works with certain setups. If u have a cantilever mount or a one piece base like the acogs, you might not be able to mount the picatinny attachment piece for the catcher in a spot you need it to be. I was able to use this on my 308AR which is my primary reason for the purchase. Great design, durable, and easy on/off when you are ready to dump the empty brass. I do wish there's a longer catcher for the large frame 308. It doesn't cover the deflector on mine, instead it acts as the deflector shield. It might be a good thing though.

  • Great AR accessory!

I mostly shoot off my back deck and with this attached I'm no longer crawling under the porch on hands and knees retrieving brass. I haven't tested it's full capacity but it will handle 3 30 round mags OK. The one weakness you have to be careful of is the aluminum will not stand being dropped so if your gun falls over it will get bent...but it's easy to bend it back so as long as you don't make a habit of that you should be OK. Very easy to install, adjust, remove, and it's small and light enough I'll be using it while hunting. One of the better additions to my AR.

  • Good bag, solid deflector.

The bag is pretty heavy duty. Its way easier to use than the velcro jobs. I wish they sold the pic attachment seperately so you can swap easier.

  • Non-functional attachment

The bag design is promising (very compact) but the picatinny rail clamp was fused into one piece making the whole thing useless. Wish it worked...

  • Tons better than the competitor models I had in the past.

Mounted easily on my AR. Was a great brass saver on the Prairie Dog towns where brass is routinely lost in the grass. Zero brass lost in 300 rounds.

  • The picatinny rail mount is made out out of the weakest plastic it could exist to hold the weight of the brass catcher .
