This may be the original fun fairy-tail, Complete with pirates, a giant, sword fighting, a princess and a miracle chocolate ball that brings people back from mostly-dead. I think I love it more than my children...but then the first time I watched it I was a child.

Good clean fairy tane!
This is a great movie and is structured like a fairy tale. Don't complain if you don't see complex drama because it is a simple tale "suitable for children of all ages." The actors do great jobs, What more can you ask? I found it to be a great pleasure even if I did know what was going to come next! That was a good summation of the memories I had after watching it after only one viewing about 30 years ago! Relax, have fun and enjoy the show!
