A great concert of toe-tapping music, to help one sit back and relax.
I watch this concert often, as all of the musicians are so talented, With the great vocal harmonies, and skill on the instruments, especially Allison's fiddling, all of the songs are so relaxing and peaceful to listen to. It also helps take readily one's mind off all of the bad news out there. Best live concert ever recorded
This is the best live concert ever made by a long shot. I do not like live concerts, but I love this one. I am not a bluegrass fan, but I am a fan of this one concert. I bought this disc set because I was wearing out the first one by listening to it. All the musicians are very talented and blend together perfectly.I especially like to crank up my HSU Research subwoofer and feel Barry's bass while watching the strings vibrate. I have watched- heard Alison's career over past 20 + yrs..She never fails to amaze me with her voice. I had known in early 1990's she was quite special. The sound on this DVD is DSD so it is as if you are at the concert, with the audience. With her band they are just perfect on all the songs, and has a variety of unique- songs as well. AKUS LIVE DVD
I bought this 2 disc DVD in 2003 new and wound up giving it to a fan of AKUS, she loved it. Fast forward over 2 decades I’m kind of missing this concert video and repurchased it new once again as I’m enjoying a renaissance of bluegrass/country music, especially with Alison Krauss. This is a great concert if you enjoy AKUS and seeing them live as a recording. I will be seeing AK live in May 2020, that should be a good show and a first for me. There is only one live released DVD, but Soundstage (TV Series) has a recording of AKUS on Feb 19, 2003. Season 1, ep 4. They need to release more Live concert material, their shows are high energy and the band is stellar!

If one likes Bluegrass/pop music and good musicianship this performance is hard to beat. Enough banter to make it accessible and much well done music.
