    Still have to cut & isn't OEM fitment but still happy

    I installed the metra kit with a pioneer avic-x910bt. Ive really enjoy it so far. This is virtually the only option to double din a 99-06 gm fullsize that leaves everything factory and appears factory. The only reason I gave it four stars is because I still had to cut the radio shelf & the figment is good but not OEM good. Helpful tip for better fitment is to use the OEM clips off of your OEM bezel vs the supplied ones with the kit. Overall I'm still very happy with it.

    OK but not great

    Quality and fitment are OK but not great. Do not purchase if you plan on painting to match your factory color. The black doesn't look bad on a charcoal interior but the light grey or pewter interiors it stand out like a sore thumb. Painting to match is near impossible if you don't sand all,the original paint off the item before attempting to paint. The original paint isn't compatible with SEM interior paint and wrinkles up very badly. Metra and SEM both told me it could be painted withut removing the original paint first. This is not true, after 3 attempts and many phone calls for assistance I gave up

    would not purchase this item

    The radio mounts were made out of a soft plastic that distorts easily when you tighten the screws. The bezel looked good but the fit was off. It was as though it "shrunk" after forming. Would not sit flush against the dash on both the right and left ends. A waste of money. I used the brackets to mount the radio then modified my original bezel. Check out "thedetailss"

    Metra DP-3002B Double Din Bezel

    Easy installation overall. Some cutting of the existing basket to allow for the double din to fit is required. But, the Metra Bezel fits well. Not a perfect OEM fit, but the product looks good once installed and not at all disappointed. Total install time from start to finish was 45 minutes. I recommend this bezel as an alternative to having your OEM bezel cut and modified.

    Double din dash kit

    For the price its bad, clips are cheap, paint won't stay on it after doing so, had to cut a bit to flush fit radio.
