Blue Angels "Diamond" formation F-4J Model Kit.
Vintage Revell model kit issued only in 1971 and 1978 respectively. Comprises four complete F-4J Phantom II fighter jets with complete decal markings for the "Diamond" formation and an added bonus of a yellow four pronged display stand that actually is decently designed to hold all four F-4's in flight. The F-4J models in 1/72 scale are molded in blue plastic with a one piece clear canopy and pilot figures. There are more detailed offerings of the F-4J in 1/72, 1/48, and 1/32, that since the 1970's have incorporated improved interior cockpit detail as well as external accuracy. However, this Revell kit still builds up into a very nice representation of the full "Diamond" formation core of the Blue Angels flight team that operated the McDonnel Douglas F-4J Phantom II from 1969-1974. Complete decal markings for all four planes included in the kit. There are aftermarket decals available for The Blue Angels F-4J in 1/72, 1/48, and 1/32 scale respectively.
