    The filters do seem to be genuine GM, but while they are marked PF63, they appear to have all the features of the less desirable PF63E. Notably, the plastic inner cage instead of a metal inner structure. Picture shows this.

    The PF63 E oil filter is far superior to the PF63 due to the high pressure bypass valve that is built into the filter. This is a 10 PSI difference for a high pressure engine like mine. Perfect match!
