Not worth it.

SOUNDING OFF FOR THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE
I purchased this speaker as a temporary way of listening to music in my project car until I could save up for a complete car stereo system to be installed. I plugged up my MP3 player to it and centered the speaker facing forward in the back seat. The sound was so good and since I can also use the speaker at work, I decided to forego the expense of a complete system and just use this in the car and at work. It sounds great on full-blast in the car, and sounds just as good on low volume at work.
