Product Information

Setting up the NetGear MR814 is easy using the web-based management system that comes with the router. The user can now connect to a local area network (LAN) via a DSL or cable modem using this NetGear router. This wireless router can also be used for networking with 802.11b Standards and allow a maximum of 253 computers or other devices, to connect without the use of any wires or cords. With a multitude of filtering options possible with this NetGear router, including restrictions based on address keywords, a particular time of the day, or website addresses, network administrators can also control what passes through the network. A firewall built-in the NetGear MR814, along with the Network Address Translation (NAT) technology adds another layer of protection against hackers. This wireless router offers a built-in 4-port switch, capable of delivering 10/100 Mbps. An LED is located on the front panel of the NetGear MR814 for easy status updates and the included flash memory for easy firmware upgrades makes this router an ideal network hub.
