I love this show. I first viewed these episodes when they aired originally on television when I was a child. I have good memories of the show, and have seen EVERY single anime made with the Street Fighter brand attached. I loved the original animated movie, and Street Fighter II V, which showed the main characters as teenagers, as a prequel. This show; however, I believe, aired on the USA network in the 90's in America. It is not a Japanese made anime, but Americanized animation, up there with GI Joe, but much more modern. This one doesn't feature the Japanese Ryu as the main character, as it is not Japanese-made. On the contrary, it features the American, Guile. The Guile character calls in other characters to join his team for missions. (Cammy, T. Hawk, Chun-li Blanka). This show was clearly made to bolster enthusiasm for the live-action film, which also featured Guile as the main character. Bison is a drug lord with super powers in this version, Blanka and Charlie are the same characters in this version, and Vega wears a mask because his face was damaged by Blanka in this version. However, given all the changes to the Street Fighter story, I must say, I LOVED the changes made to the story. How nice and refreshing to have all the character I loved as a child in a totally new, unexpected light.
