    Good John Wayne FlicK!

    Looks awesome on Blu ray for an old film, if you like Wayne, you must have this one, his sons are in it, and Maureen O'Hara is always great, typical John Wayne Western, this one plays to his strengths as most of his later ones did, I can watch it, about once every couple years, but I want it in my collection when I do, I prefer Mclintock over this one.

    'Big Jake' on Blu Ray is a vast improvement on previous releases!

    For someone who has seen 'Big Jake' countless times through the past 40-50 years, the Blu Ray version is truly magnificent and a noticeable improvement in picture and sound quality across the board - it gives it a new lease on life and an absolute must own. The colors and details that jump out at you with each frame make you feel like you're seeing it for the first time. They did a great job remastering the film - the Duke would be proud and I am sure his family is! There are many things - many details big and subtle that catch your attention that didn't before. The landscape - even off in the distance , the blue sky, the thunderstorm at night all are accentuated in fine detail. Plus, the great musical score matches the big country and big sky feel captured on film. The most entertaining ...

    This film is classic John Wayne,Along with Rio Bravo and The Searchers.This is two fisted gunslinging,Bar room brawling fun as only the Duke can deliver.Written by Julian Funk(Of Dirty Harry).There's plenty of humor amongst the shoot outs.The HD restoration with 5.1 Dolby Digital surrounding is outstanding.
