    not plug and play, but great sound

    This thing is great for enhacing sound in older desktops or media pc`s.. takes a little effort to set up right. and has a enoying blue flashing led that makes it nescesary to hide the modul. but in the end gives great sound. As for the surround, its not that great. and the mic-functions is totally oblivious to most of us... but overall its cheap, better than most average, and a lot of options. Recomended buy.

    Better than the Realtek 7.1(2.81) internal card.

    It works well with the Razer Tiamat 7.1 V2 with the proper configuration to obtain true surround sound. Make sure you install the generic usb drivers from Microsoft instead of the C-Media for more powerful sound and bass. Also uncheck the full range speakers from the headset so you can enable bass management and choose the right the Hz for your ears.
