    Dell 1545 laptop upgrade

    The 10 9600 chip fit perfectly into my laptop. I only had to remove four screws to get the cover off and then another four screws to get the heat sink off. After cleaning the cat hair out of the heat sink radiator I said it aside pulled out the old chip and install the new one I had to scrape the old thermal paste off of the bottom of the heat sink so the new paste would make good contact. I didn’t have any paste it first so I installed the heat sink and put the cover back on to test how the chip worked. Everything booted up just fine and was very quick using windows 10 pro. The fan did still come on quite a bit even with all that cat hair out of the heat sink but not as much as before. When the thermal paste arrived I remove the cover and heat sink and applied the paste and put it all ...

    Nice upgrade for your Lenovo T400 or SL510

    I upgraded a Lenovo T400 using T9550 (2.66GHz) and a SL510 shipping with a T3500 (2.1GHz) 800 MHz FSB with the T9600 and it works great in both machines. Impressive for the SL510 that got a very noticable improvement in performance and automatically changed the FSB to operate at 1GHz. There are even faster processors available like T9800 and X9100 but they are much pricier.

    Best upgrade solution for your 10year old lappy

    My old lappy had a T3200 and decided to upgrade to this CPU and i noticed a diference with development aplications such has Netbeans and android studio. Also it unlocked the Virtualization features such has Hyper-V and x64 bit emulation

    Oldie Yet Goodie

    This is an older processor but it is the fastest one for certain Libreboot-compatible Thinkpads. I used this one to switch out a Core2Extreme that was running too hot in a T500. Even though I dropped it and bent some pins, it installed fine and runs great.
